SEASONAL TASTES- THE WESTIN
What’s on the menu?
On Sundays, Westin’s special gourmet brunch features live cooking stations where dim sum pastas, wok noodles and fresh hot breads are made to order. Their signature foods not only include local Telangana and Andhra cuisines but also a wide range of delicious International food. The Mulligatawnt Soup, Gosht Shami Kebab, Fish Krapow, Pineapple fried rice and Cashew nut Tomato Curry are some of my personal favourites. To pair with their exceptional food menu, they have some chilled Cocktail and Mocktail offerings. There is absolutely no arguing that Westin does its desserts well- so well that they completely stand out in terms of both innovation and taste! Their mouth watering Ice cream Tacos, Chocolate sushi and Fried Sushi are impossible to find anywhere else. Not to forget their Lady Baltimore, Caramel Choux Bun, Milly Feuilly and Malai Firni whose exquisite flavours still linger in my mouth.

Okra- Marriott:
What’s on the menu?
The brunch at Marriott is spread out across the restaurant as well as the outdoor pool-side. Through a diverse array of live counters, Marriott hopes to make the brunch more interactive and interesting. One of the most intriguing live stations is the Chaat counter that served up ubiquitous Indian street food like Pani Puri and Chaat with a modern twist. Besides the live counters, there they have a regular buffet spread featuring both Indian and Continental preparations. The rasam, kurkuri bhindi and pasta are some of my favourites. Coming to Desserts, the Marriott buffet featured some awesome Bengali sweets like Ras Kadam, Kesari Raj Bhog, and Chhana Pan on offer. Other Indian desserts on offer included a live counter for Jalebi and Rabri and sweets like Anjeer Toast. The ones that really caught my fancy were inspired creations like Grand Marnier, Sachertorte, and Gianduja that are bit of a rarity in the city.
