Hyderabad often called the city of pearls has always adorned us with magnificent jewellery. From the time of the Nizams until now, where statement necklaces are in vogue, Hyderabad has never failed to catch up on the latest trends. Sausi and Tahiti pearls is what is trending nowadays and we have a lot of products that showcase these pearls in different designs.
Which is the most expensive type of pearls?
That would be Basara pearls as it originates from the Persian Gulf.
Least expensive type of pearls?

At Krsala Jewelers we spoke to Bunty Bajaj, the store owner, who seemed extremely enthusiastic about jewellery which truly showed in all her designs.
How many years has the store been running?
We are in our tenth year of running. This October, we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary, for which we have some grand plans.
What do you specialise in?
We specialise in Jadau and diamond jewellery. We have always given special attention to our designs and put in an extra effort, to always provide to our customers with something unique.
What in your collection is an all time people’s favourite?
At Krsala, we don’t repeat designs. So, every piece is unique and one of a kind. However, there was a Jadau necklace that I had designed, with a carved 150 carat emerald pendant that caught a lot of eyes while it was on display.
What can you say is trending now?
I think two articles of jewellery that have been gaining popularity are the hathphool and the mathapati. They are extremely fashionable and add a lot of style and drama to any outfit.

We do have plans but we’re keeping our fingers crossed and hoping for the best. Let us see what God has in store. (laughs)

We specialise in Nakshi, Rosecut and Diamond Jewelry. Apart from this, we have some very old artistic pieces made by the masters of craftsmanship in which each piece took around 4 years to complete. So, our jewellery is mostly exquisite, exclusive and rare.
What is your opinion on the Gold rate?
Looking at the near future trend, the gold rate is surely going to increase. There are two reasons for this; one the stock market is very volatile and secondly the U.S. federal reserve did not increase the interest rates and is currently stable.
Anything you would like to add?
We have 28000 and more designer pieces that are only available in our store and around 68 plus designers working for us. We hope to keep doing better and bigger.

What does your store specialise in?
To us, jewellery is not just about buying and selling, it is about creating new products. We take the current trend and create it in our own way. We also have custom made jewellery which you don’t find in most stores.
What is your opinion on the gold rate?
We can currently see the gold price rising at least by 10%. Looking at the U.S. elections, we can say that internationally all the investments will be transferred from dollars to metal.
Being in this industry for so long, what do you have to say to the customers?
Always check whether the gold you’re buying is certified from hallmark or not. If it is, then, your gold will be accepted worldwide as a good and genuine quality piece.
